Week of the Wolf

Welcome. Wolfmother is tonight. I will also post Part One of my interview with Wolfmother's bassist and keyboardist, Chris Ross, this afternoon. Excitement isn't quite the word for how we are feeling right now. Wolfmother will rock a SOLD OUT show at the Black Cat tonight, initiating hundreds and then on Friday night they will rock the rest of the US on national television via Late Night With David Lettermen. That is, of course, if you don't catch their performance for the post-show party at the MTV Movie Awards. It will air Thursday 8th June in the USA on MTV. The show starts at 9pm with Wolfmother on at 11pm.

Top and I are pretty juiced for this show (even though I am catching them for the fourth time in four months). The best we have seen in the Black Cat is probably The National or The Vacation (for the 10 of us that were there). I guess Eagles of Death Metal might have to be up there as well because of the sheer energy Jesse Hughes brought to the stage that night. Somehow I think our friends from down undah will blow it all away. For the uninformed I am throwing up some links that will point you in the right direction.

Again...

Weak. And sad. Hopefully they pull out the horrendous cover of PJ's "Black."
