RHCP - "Don't Forget Me" (Live in Paris)

This show took place at La Cigale in Paris on April 20th, 2006. This might be the best live version of this song that I have ever heard. From the lovely intro, to the guitar breakdown at the end, it is simply amazing. Goosebumps. The effect John is using at the beginning is supposedly the same one he uses on "Venice Queen" on the Live At Slane Castle DVD. Click here to see the whole concert from Paris. On another note, until I see drummer Chad Smith and Will Ferrell in the same place at the same time, I will continue to believe that they are one in the same. Ditto Reggie Miller and his "sister" Cheryl.

Unbelievable. I saw them perform this song in Seattle in '03 and it was the highlight of the show. You can pick-up on the effect it has on the crowd a little bit here...people pretty much just stop. The neck hairs go erect. People either close their eyes or stare up into the rafters. Many shake. It was also a nice 5 min break from the teeny-boppers constantly fighting to pointlessly get a couple inches closer to the stage.
