It's not what you think. No gratuitous images here, just some original, post-punk music that has really got a hold of me courtesy of The North Atlantic. I am really keen on the first of these tracks and the video track. I love the unconventional lyrics on "Scientist Girl" and the frontman's voice which ranges from a gentle plea on "Bottom of this Town" to a scorned shout on "Scientist Girl" that manages to stay in key. There are moments of sheer punk energy and then hush new wave vibes. The ability of a band to cross genres effortlessly usually leaves a lasting impression on me. So far, that is the case with The North Atlantic.
