6'6" And Nothing We Can Do About It

The topic at hand is near and dear to my heart and 6'6" frame. Should tall dudes stand in the back?

as a fellow tall person, i think we should yield some to the tiny. i do try to avoid being right up front and center, but then i also do believe that first come, first serve does apply in particularly crowded general admission shows.
i have short friends who either plan to arrive early or know to strategically place themselves in places where they can see like balconies, etc. my cousin wanted to bring a box or footstool at one time- she thinks people who go to DC/Baltimore shows are taller than people in NYC/Philly.
besides the article is about people in wheelchairs who kind of are the exception in terms of large crowd accomodation anyway.
one of my pet peeves are people who crowd up in front and give no respect to opening acts- some of which i come to shows to see sometimes, and these fans of the headliners do not yield to people who want to see the openers. this is more of a problem in those festival shows though.
by the way guys, i saw muse in san diego last week- great show!

i hear ya in respect to opening acts. i don't know how many pictures i have of opening acts with a front row of fans talking to each other, or even worse, back turned to aforementioned act. that's gross. i am usually pretty polite, i back up for people getting in front of me, and try not to be dead center. but, for the most part, i get there on time, i stand where i stand. people hand me cameras, i take pictures for them. i've never really been harassed about being too tall, but i think that is because i am often off to the side. obviously, sound team was an exception to this (as you can see from Top's pictures), but i was wasted. and i think that's a valid excuse.
