Trail of Dead News

October 3rd came and went without the release from one of my favorite bands, ...And You Will Know Us by the Trail of Dead. As reported on their web site, the album is now due out November 14 which is probably due more to the start of their tour than anything else. They have posted a song list (below) and even gave Rolling Stone and Billboard a sneak peak at the album. That can, of course, only mean one thing: a leak. Which it has, I listened to it this morning. Without inviting any threats from Interscope for posting an mp3, I will say that you definitely shouldn't expect more of the same. It's a lot more mellow and they experiment a bit more with piano and strings. It may not satisfy the die hard Source Tag fans but it does show that the band is looking to and willing to move forward in a new direction. I'm more than willing to stick around for the ride.
