Baby Jesus is not happy!! I say again, BABY JESUS IS NOT HAPPY!!! The goddamn National took too long to set up. The goddamn Nethers played too long (even though I thought they rocked). The goddamn Black Cat should have scheduled the show for earlier in the evening. The goddamn Ghetro system should run their last train from U St. later than 11:30pm (if you want to catch last Orange connection). And let’s not forget the goddamn hoodlums at Metro D who should have kept their cake-holes shut about how the National took the Black Cat by storm on their last go-around.
Okay, I feel slightly better. While I could sit here and blame everything and everyone under the sun for only catching ½ of the FIRST song of the National set before having to roll, I can truly only point the finger at the man in the mirror for this episode of poor judgment. When analyzing all of the facts (8:30 start time, 3 bands, and an 11:30 last-call for the Ghetro), how does one come to a seemingly logical conclusion that they will be able to catch most, if not all of the National set before having to jet?? I now look back and wonder what the hell I was thinking and can only chalk this up in the “lesson learned” column – I’m such a nutsack full of catshit!
Please use the downloads on this site for your own evaluation purposes. In most cases, these are independent artists; if you like the songs, please buy the albums, go to the shows or buy the goods. If you are an artist and don't want us posting your music, please e-mail us and we will take it down as soon as humanly possible.
