Latest British Music News

Always fun keeping tabs on what's happening in the UK music scene. Here are some of the recent highlights:

Kasabian are calling their second LP a "monstrous leap" and one that will stand up along the all-time British classics. They also described their debut as "sketchy nonsense." No one ever said these guys weren't confident. I like the first single, we'll see what the album brings.

Thom Yorke called for Tony Blair's resignation on the Radiohead web site and now that post has mysteriously disappeared. “Our government sitting on the fence with the US while world war 3 appears. To be breaking out in Lebanon and Northern Israel. We must throw Tony Blair out of office NOW. He does not represent the views of the British people.” Fortunately, the comments regarding Laura Bush's appearance at their NYC show are still there.
