Odds & Ends

*Speaking of plagiarism, this from the land of Kanye West.

*If you don't get the chance to get to the 9:30 Club tonight for The Walkmen, you can listen to it on NPR.org. This is the concert series main page.

MP3: Electric Soft Parade - "Cold World"
MP3: John Ralston - "I Believe In Ghosts"
MP3: Black Heart Procession - "Not Just Words"
MP3: The Timeout Drawer - "Bursting With Tears, I Commit To Destroying You"
MP3: Pink Mountaintops - "New Drug Queens"
MP3: The Sounds - "Painted By Numbers"

*I got the heads up on the video below from a great article in yesterday's Wall Street Journal by Lee Gomes titled: "Above All Else, Rivals of Apple Mostly Need Some Design Mojo." A couple of key lines: "Users...want an integrated, easy-to-use experience, like they get from Apple" and "What Apple has, and what Wintel badly needs, is a design tyrant like Steve Jobs." The scariest thing about this video is that it was made by designers at Microsoft. Hmmm.
