Not only was I thinking about R.E.M. at The Decemberists show...but then Frat sends me a link to this badness. This track is off of R.E.M.'s 1991 release Out of Time. About 2:20 in John just cuts loose on the vocal. If you have some time, explore his other stuff on YouTube from this performance. It is worth the time, he is in a goofy mood and having a lot of fun with the audience.
