UPDATE: "Freed" sounds better than "dropped" which is the word I originally used incorrectly.
Posting this list since I found it to be pretty interesting. Obviously, some have already moved on to new labels (Radiohead, The White Stripes) or just broken up entirely (Blood Brothers, Sound Team).

i think it would be a lot more interesting if it were true...even quickly glancing i noticed half a dozen artists on that list who weren't "dropped" but fought to get off of their labels/out of their contracts...i'm sure with some research a larger number would prove to be true of folks in the same exact boat.
Bo Bice formed his own record label and recorded a fantastic album called "See the Light" in his own recording studio -- all his own orignal songs! The CD is a Walmart exclusive, downloads are available online everywhere. His music video "Witness" was #1 on VH1 Top 20 Countdown for three weeks, and he's putting together a tour now. So Bo is a Freebird, doing alright for himself!!
"dropped" probably isn't the right word. i should change that. i'm certainly aware that many of these bands made their own choices.
can't wait to see what Jack White is up to next.
Sound Team Broke up :(
Welcome Back guys, I was starting to worry...
thanks...although I think posting will still be pretty inconsistent. that was sad news about sound team. that bad had a lot of potential.
