Boris Live Review @ Pitchfork
Put a fork in it, hipster! We love Brian Howe because he symbolizes everything that is wrong with Pitchfork: the aloof writing style, snotty attitude and holier than thou vocab. While we aren't as cool or smart as Howe is - "[i]f you've been into Pink since its Japanese release, you don't know the names of the songs because they all show up as strings of squares on your iPod,..." - we had more fun at Boris and definitely had more to say about the show itself. Howe chose to cover topics ranging from rolling papers to a brewing hesher versus hipster brawl. Here at Metro Distortion we place emphasis on what was played, how it felt, and whether or not you should drop $10 to $50 to partake. One additional note: we know the names of the Boris songs because we know Japanese. How cool are you now, Howe?
There's not to much to say about this, because almost all it's true but I always wonder, what's the real earning of this people ?
